The Blackfeet Nation

The Blackfeet Nation page is a series of CM Russell paintings and photos illustrating the life, travels and the daily activities of the AMSKAPI PUKUNI People (identified as Blackfeet People today). As it can plainly be seen from the following paintings the Blackfeet People like many Native tribes throughout the American Continent were not a lot of lost and helpless souls that needed to be rescued from themselves. 

The AMSKAPI PUKUNI people like many people and cultures throughout the world had a wonderful and active family life while living off of the land. As illustrated through the CM Russell paintings and photos there are many levels of family activities happening within a Blackfeet community where the Grandparents are interacting with their grandchildren. Family's as a whole seem to be always interacting in a wholesome family oriented environment.
